- 1 / 5By Dan GoldfarbSeveral hikers said, I had to check this place out. Sadly, it is not what I expected. Not really sure why so many people give this hotel such high rating. There must be some special glasses they put on to see it differently. The only people being truthful are the one that talk about how run down it is and how it really is not hiker friendly. The idea that AT hikers want it to be restored is great, it needs it. All my experiences prior to this have been wonderful blessings. Everyone couldn't be nicer and trail magic is great. The owners & this place were not. Right now I am in shock & glad I found another place to stay.June 11, 2016
